Val Kilmer, Governor?
He's played everyone from Batman to the Iceman to Jim Morrison over the course of his prolific career, but actor Val Kilmer is considering tackling his most difficult role to date in public office. Kilmer has suggested that he may be running for governor of New Mexico in 2010 when the state's current governor Bill Richardson completes his second term.

Richardson has served two terms, which is the limit. Kilmer, who has acted less and less in recent years after reigning atop the Hollywood A-list in the 1990s, responded to the rumors of his political bid by telling the Associated Press late last week that he wants to be "contributive" and, "if I can make a substantial contribution, then I will run."

Kilmer has said his consideration of a political career is something he is taking one day at a time and looking at step by step. The actor has lived on a ranch in New Mexico for over 20 years and is a registered Democrat. He also is involved with the Wildlife Center of New Mexico, which assists in rescuing animals. The actor has said that if he does run, he will not behave like a typical politico during his campaign. He has no prior political experience.

In other news Paris Hilton is thinking about buying the presidency once Obama is done with it.

I've maintained for some time that if I ever start a band, I'm going to name it "Fat Val Kilmer". But now I may have to go with "Val Kilmer, Governor!" instead.

"Pay Up Ecuador" is also a possibility.
