Now now... I know most of you are rabid anti-stylists, so you probably spit at Z600's... But I wonder if someone out there might have a solution for this prob.
I've just talked to my friend who I gave my Z600RE to some time ago, and she's asked me about a problem. Sony have been unhelpful, I had the same problem but it never really bothered me - but apparently it is bothering her.
When not connected to a network, Windows still thinks it is connected to an Ethernet LAN and will try to communicate over it. This means that for example, when the machine is set up to connect to an NT domain, it will try to log on, regardless of whether the cable is connected or not.
Is there a solution to this problem? An easy way to 'mask' the built-in network adaptor from Windows, or to have it turn off automatically when not plugged into a LAN?
Thanks...
