Vaio S360 vs Dell 700m

So there is a lot of great information on the 700m on the forums and many people have them, I got a pretty good idea about the laptop. I haven't seen much on the Vaio S360.

I am torn between the 2. Each has advantages and disadvantages. I like the larger screen and keyboard of the Vaio and the video card is also fantastic for the price and size. I guess right now I am leaning toward the S360. I went to best buy and compusa to play with this laptop but what a pain it was. I couldn't pick it up without all the security devices, there was no batteries around for me to look at how they fit, the one at best buy was busted, the one at compusa was locked out of windows (forgotten password), so I am now here asking how this laptop really is.

So whatever comments you would like to share would be helpful in helping me FINALLY make the decision.

i was making the same comparison. i think the 700m is a much better choice because its

A. cheaper
B. the 360 uses propiertary memory

I was unaware of the S360's memory. That is interesting.

And Dell can beat Sony on price, especially with the coupons they run...

So you are going with the 700m?

yeah, i think i'm gonna go with a 700m. just too cheap to pass up.

So cost is the only reason? Let's say they were both the same price, which would it be?

i would prolly go with the 360 if they cost the same. i love the 13.3 screen, the 12 is a tad to small
