Hello :
I have a VGC-RC110G running all original from fabric. Only updated from Sony was my BIOS last week.
I bought a WD RAPTOR 150GB and tried to install it but had some problems. I had one 250GB Samsung HD and wanted to add other one and i choose add WD Raptor tu run apps and other things......

I will appreciate any help on this issue from all members;

I know basics about using a PC or adding hardware also I dont know nothing about RAID or any kind of issue related to it. I hope this issue can help me and help other users of this forum.
I downloaded Data LifeGuard Tools from WD site and installed it. I followed all instructions.
I turned on my PC and everything was fine, no problem at all. Once windows loaded it I got a warning from Intel(R) Matrix Storage Console software telling me A RAID VOLUME is inaccesible; "it needs to be restores or a hard drive is missing" ; I opened and saw the following :

DISK MANAGER

I launched "My Computer" - Manage - Disk Manager and no WD Disc was found.

I launched Explorer to see all PC Tree and couldnt see any WD disk drive either. Now, I ran Data LifeGuard Tools Software and add the drive and format it in the mode as a NEW DRIVE STORAGE instead a boot Drive. It appeares as volume0 and other HD samsung as a non RAID hd...

What can I do just to see my hard drive in my explorer or what do you recommend me to do?....I dont usually paly games and dont store critical data.....I just use lot of big software as AUTOCAD, PHOTOGRAPH EDITORS, ETC.....

I know this topic is so big but I just wanted to make sure put all the info.......I will appreciatye any help from any one here.

Regards
Frank

See if you can disable anything that says RAID or Matrix in your BIOS.
If you have a cd you can boot off of (a live cd such as Linspire, ubuntu), unhook your samsung and hook up just your raptor and see if the live cd can see the drive.
Depending on what software you have availible, booting up w/ something like Acronis disk director or norton (system works?) would let you initialize, format & partition the raptor to your hearts content (on the port that the samsung is currently connected to).
