I ordered a sony internal dvd burner for a friend of mine for her k45 Vaio lapy. although the faceplates didn't match up my thought was that replacing the stock cd-rw/dvd with a sony dvd-rw would be the best approach. I ordered from newegg and the drive came bare, not refurbished or anything just bare. installed it and it reads just fine however when going to burn anything either with windowns or Nero it says that the drive in inacessable.
Did I need to turn something on in the bios or something? I checked sony's website for a driver and there was nothing. Hardware manger shows the correct drive and driver installed. Help please!!!!!!!!
