Vail, Colorado

Does anyone know of a nice, semi-cheap place to stay in Vail?

I'm going with some friends (3 of us total) and we're looking for something that is moderately cheap. We're going over our college spring break. (3/6-3/10)

If we can't find anything that cheap, we'll settle for winterpark or one of the other places..

Its going to be quite a challenge to find something cheap at Vail anytime. The place is way over-rated. I suggest Breck and Keystone. Or you could ski Aspen, and stay in Glenwood Springs.

Yeah, Vail's pretty pricey. If you want a cheap ski area, try Salt Lake City. You can find a decent place in the city for <$75/night, and there are something like 7 resorts within a 30-45 minute drive. The night life in the city isn't the greatest though being in Mormon country, but if you hang around the resorts after you ski there are usually some decent clubs and a lot of good looking women (at least the 3 times I've been).

In terms of pure skiing, Vail is my absolute favorite place I've skied out of probably 20 resorts. It is a pretty pretentious area though, but I've had a blast every time I've been.
