How is the transportation if I want to spend a few days in SFO? Do I need a rental car to see what's needed to be seen there?

Will you be going around the Bay Area? You probably do need a car for places like Napa...

I was thinking about doing Napa for 1 day, if that is the case I can just rent a zip car or whatever.

It seems that everything else is BART/ walking / taxi accessible yea?

Pretty much in the city and oakland. If you want to go to Monterey/Carmel/Big Sur or go to the Marin Headlands/Sausalito, Point Reyes then you would need a car. There's a lot to see here and while the city has a lot to offer, there are other cool places to see.
