long story short, everyone in my dept. is FORCED to take 10 days PTO before July. While most co-workers are taking every friday off, I'm thinking about just getting away for week or 2.

This will be with my girl, and I'm leaning towards going on a cruise. has to be somewhere hot and not mexico. So any suggestions? I've never been to Hawaii, Carribean or Bahamas so all 3 sounds interesting to me. any cruz lines I should stay away from?

has to be at least 5 days. and budget is probably 700 - 800 per person pending on how much more I'm expect to pay during the trip.

So yea, thanks!

P.S. I live in SF,CA

edit: 😱 cruz 😱

Let me check and see if I have any more cruise tickets.😉

from CA, your cheapest bet for a CRUISE is going to be to the meixcan rivera, but you said you did not want that.
You could probably find some ok deals just flying to hawaii... can get some good prices to Oahu for a few days with airfare. You would not really have to rent a car... food might be an issue though depending on what you want.

There are cheap cruises in the summer to the caribbean, but i don't know how much airfare would set you back. Also, it would be an inside stateroom or just an ocean view depending on what line and ship and internary you choose.

a family friend suggests an international line that doesn't not have tip included b/c service is much better than the domestic lines where the staff get their pay regardless of performance.

Royal Caribbean 9-day cruise: St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Croix, St. Maarten and I think one or two more. It was awesome.

I just got home from a 7-day Royal Caribbean cruise to Grand Caymans, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. Royal Caribbean was outstanding, the service was excellent. I would not recommend hitting Mexico, the people were unfriendly and just walking around was a pain because of all the people selling you junk. The Caymans were great though.

I was on the Grandeur of the Seas, the staff were unbelievably good. I don't think you should expect the same level of service on a larger, newer ship. Just keep in mind that bigger isn't necessarily better. I personally think about 80K tons is the right size.

If you go to Senor Frog's in Cozumel BE SURE TO BRING EARPLUGS!

They are insane with those damn whistles. I heard them all they to the ship today - that was 1.33 km away! :Q
