I guess vacation is imminent. The wife and kids bought new luggage yesterday.
They all want to go lay on the beach for a week. I literally hate laying on the beach.

So...
I was looking at Florida beaches and it looks like if I can get us wiggled in somewhere around Tampa we could see some of Florid's best beaches and I can still take a day and see the Flower Festival (or whatever they call it) at Epcot.

I like to take pics and I can be happy being stuck out in the sun and sand as long as I can look for shells, take thousands of pics, play with my metal detector, and do some fishing.

I'm just starting to put this vacation together, got any pointers?

Come here to Sarasota... Were about 45 mins south of Tampa.

Beautiful town, beautiful beaches, excellent weather :)

Siesta Key is my favorite and were only about 20 mins south of Ft. Desoto beach (ranked #1 in the US this year)

Hmm... what's the budget for this vacation? If you can spend a little more, go to California's beaches.

I'm in SW Florida (Naples) but I'd recommend staying in Cocoa; they have very nice beaches, its right near Kennedy Space Center, and you can take the Bee Line straight to Orlando/Disney World very quickly...just my .02

That sounds fabulous.
I'll take a peek.
I did read up on Ft. Desoto and it was on my list.
I was thinking a bunch of different beaches, a new one each day.

I was thinking of staying closer to Tampa so I don't have to drive so far each way, sort of staying central to the beachy goodness.

How do you like living in Naples?
