I purchased a vacation package through my work and thought was a steal, but need confirmation if it actually is.

$299 at a 5 star beach resort all inclusive (food, drinks, water activities) for 6 days.
$100 more to Costa Rica 5 star resort all inclusive for 5 days.

So $399 total flight not included for both trips any time of the year good for 2 years and fully transferable if I wasn't able to go.

This will be my first time going to either of these places, has anyone been? Whats your experiences??

Thanks!

Here is the website to my reservation:

Steal not found until you take the trip and actually experience the quality of the so called inclusive resort.

My parents went to Costa Rica as part of an alumni association guided tour and absolutely loved it.

Your work books vacations? How does that work? Who (what position do they hold) at your work handles that?

Could be like Dell/HP deals with corporate discounts. Basicially book through a website that was linked through his company? If not then prob HR.

my wife "won" something like that too from a radio station once, and after doing research about 3 hours later, it turned out it was a timeshare scam (as in you would have to sit through a bunch of crap on vacation and be bothered to buy timeshares) so she tried to cancel it and they wouldn't let her, but her credit union fixed it no problem.

Asking for confirmation AFTER you purchased is pointless. Go on your vacation and have a good time. It is already a sunk cost so don't worry about it.

5-star based on who's ratings?

Regardless, if you can get cheap airfare, I'd say it's a decent deal.

What's the names of the resorts? People who have been to them would probably know if they are good or not?

It sounds "too good to be true", but maybe your employee purchase program is really good ..... or something like that ...

It was a memo from our HR that our company got some special discount for the package. A coworker who also booked it told me about it.

I don't know what that is.

When you work somewhere that has a fax machine it gets spammed by vacation packages and other crap.

Don't want to rain on your parade, but are you SURE it was a REAL memo from your HR department? Because every day I get faxes for vacation scams that "look" like memos from the HR department.

Hey thanks for the heads up! I'll do more research on it and see. If its spam I'm okay with, but a scam, mannn. The website and the rep that I spoke to seems legit.
