Vacation ideas for western Colorado?

I'm thinking of heading up to Colorado for about 10 days (getting out of the Tucson heat) and was curious if anyone had any recommended areas to visit. I am planning on visiting Colorado and Dinosaur National Monument, probably Mesa Verde cliff dwellings, and trying to find some places to stay near lakes at high elevation. I have heard the San Juan Mountains are GORGEOUS and would like to poke around there for a few days. I'll probably take my truck so my wife and I can go biking, so maybe some of the ski towns that turn into mountain bike town in the summer are a good idea too.

I have only been to Steamboat Springs, CO before, so if there are any really cool sights, towns, lakes, breweries that you know of, please share.

Thanks,
Wound

I haven't been to Steamboat Springs, but Glenwood Springs is very nice. You could also check out Durango, Colorado. It's really nice down there as well.

Thanks, I have heard similar things from people who have been to Durango as well. I am mainly striving to stay in smaller, more secluded areas, but I will compromise if there is a nice brewery in a larger town!
