v710 -- never certified for OBEX Bluetooth -- moto rep says update soon?

I am not an expert but it seems to me that the v710 was never certified to use OBEX. Am I reading that correctly?

Anyways, I emailed Moto the other day and someone replied saying that there would be a Verizon patch in about 60 days -- "we are expecting the software upgrade to be to be available within 60 days of its release." It did not specify what the upgrade would do.

Am I reading that page right?

yup, really only works with the bluetooth headsets and syncing i think. that patch is supposed to come out sept. 1 from what i've read.

i hope the rumors are true about that flash update... but until then, ill remain skeptical. but in better news, 2 out of the 3 places i pre'd a transflash from shipped today. now its a race to see who gets here first, loser gets the honor of refunding me my money. 😀

where'd you order from? buy.com? i had an order with them, but it stood at 'sent to wherehouse' for too long, so i cancelled it. i found out that people who cancelled it the day after i did, were getting them shipped to them. i knew it wasnt my week.
