V5 and DVD Playback

Hello, this is my first post so be gentle. I just bought a V5 5500 from buy.com, GREAT DEAL! used the $30 off coupon. Thx for the info! Ok, i have a p2 400 gateway g6 desktop with dvd playback handled *i believe* by a decoder card. Since installin the V5, my dvd's havent been playing. I know V5's can run DVD, how do i go about setting that up?

Well it wont be now where near has good has a dedicated decoder card. What type of decoder card did you have in that gateway machine?
 
i think it was a mpact! mediaware card...or was that the software!?...i need to know if there is a way to run both or that would be really lame...i watch tons of dvds on my 19"...when i installed the v5 it said to remove or uninstall all other video devices..is that considered one?

In your V5 box you should have gottten some kind of voucher which you send to 3dfx to get a DVD player that runs on their boards. If you are unsure what to do, email 3dfx and ask them about it. You might be able to download the player as well.
