V5 5500 and W2k

Hi...I am thinking of moving to W2k from W9x....how well d othe V5 drivers run most current fps .... NOLF, Deus Ex, Alice(Q3 based games)


I ran the V5 in W98 but have moved it too a AMD based system and I have decided WinMe sucks...resource big with so much crap running in the background and if you try to disable stuff...system gets more sluggish and unstable IMHO

the 1.04 drivers are pretty good in 2k

with a "P3-971", you should be good to go.

I have no problems with my V5 running in W2K Pro. I run high resolutions.

With an overclocked Duron 600 (running around 950MHz) and the 1.04 5500 drivers, I'm getting on average about 45fps in Unreal Tourney at 1600x1200x16. Undying is also virtually smooth at 1600x1200. Glide games, of course, but they are doing fine on my W2K system.

I see no difference myself. I never got around to getting the newest drivers for 2K, I have the newest ones for 98, but never tried the ones for 2K, I think I'm still using the 1.03's.
