Ssjgokou,
I bought my V3 3000 last year in early May, just a few weeks after it was first released and paid full price - $180. I guess I was kinda like some of the guys who wait for the card they want and plunk the cash down right away, rather than wait for the price to drop. I don't think I started to see specials until the fall of 99, when it could be had for $150 w/ rebates. But it has been a good card and I haven't been into FPS games which tend to push the performance. I did enjoy playing Unreal which was bundled with the card. My initial impression with NFS3 wasn't terribly great. As for Decent3, it was gorgeous graphics but controls were complex and after 30 minutes I was getting motion sick! I'm generally not prone to that but this game did it to me!
It sounds like the V4 is basically what the V3 should have been in the first place if they would have been keeping up with the Jones's or the Nvidias in this case!
