I don't play demanding games, but I do have a 19" monitor that I'd like to get the most out of. Which would be the better buy?

If the V3 2000 is the same price it's a gimme .... but I don't see any visual difference in UT, Porsche Unleashed, and Wild Country Metal. You'll be hard pressed to see any difference I think.

The last few computers I've built I've thrown in Velocity 100's, but that was because I got them for 50 bucks each. Much more than that and you're looking at the same price as an OEM voodoo 3 2000.

If you don't use very high resolutions, a Velocity with 8M should be fine. I don't even know if the second TMU is disabled on mine because I lost my velocity CD and had to use the V3 3000's install disk.

But they are good cards if you can get them cheap. The one I have has 6ns Ram but the last one I used for my brother had 5.5ns. Not bad at all.

Thanks. It would be a good deal if I could find a V3 retail for less than $85. That just brings it down to the same price as OEM, plus the hassles of rebates. Or is there something extra that I would get with the retail that I won't with the OEM?

P.S. Does anyone happen to know where i can find a good price on retail?

I just bought a V3 3000 retail, thats how i knew the rebate was only retail. And my V3 3000 came with Decent 3 Sol accesnt, Unreal, And NFS Hot pursuit.
