V: The miniseries. Best miniseries ever ??

I got the whole package at Best Buy for cheap and just got done watching it again.
Man this was a great miniseries. Forgot how awesome it was.

Best part of the series was when the second baby(the reptile) popped out.

Any other good ones ?? Please exclude dramas like roots and such.
 
this might not count, but The Prisoner was the best fully-written, beginning-middle-end series ever devised, in my book.
 
What's wrong with Roots? It was pretty damn good.

I enjoyed The Thorn Birds (simply for Rachel Ward 😀 )

The Stand was a good series and it's on one DVD (dual-side)
 
I love V and have the DVDs also.

The writer is currently working on a script for a new V made for TV movie and NBC is definitely interested in bringing it back.

Let's hope it doesn't turn out the same as the new Battlestar Galactica remake. Has anybody seen the previews of this monstrosity? ugh!
 
I remember when I was REALLY young and V was being played on TV for the first time - it's a very vague memory but I remember being scared to death of it. I think there were some bald-headed characters with green skin? Today I have no clue what it's about but I still remember it.

I got V: the final chapter for 15.99
I believe the V: the beginning is also the same price.....maybe cheaper.

So as far as I can tell, there are two miniseries. The original one and this sequel that supposedly really sucks since the creator/producer was not too intimately involved in it. Or are there others?
 
lets not forget I, Claudius

it doesn't have nearly the production value of Brothers, but pretty damn good stuff.
