Like it? Does it make a difference. I've always used shell premium because I got the shell card, so I've been using this lately. I can tell no difference in performance.

Probably not much, but the newer formula Shell W-Power has had great reviews.

lol, is this one of those things that's like a 5mhz overclock? Doesn't actually do anything, but makes you think it does?

well i think its supposed to "Clean" your engine, so your fuel is used more efficiently. so i guess it could be doing that.

Ugh. Don't even get me started. :|

It's braindead marketing schemes like this that perpetuate the myth that "Premium" gasoline is somehow better than "Regular".

It is not. Period. The only difference between the two is the octane rating.

If you use Premium and your engine wasn't designed to use premium, you are simply throwing 20 cents a gallon away.

Infact, many contend that it is flat out bad for your engine. Using Premium where Regular is recommended can increase the rate of carbon buildup inside your engine in some circumstances.

Basically, just don't do it.

My Honda is only getting REGULAR. I'll never get premium unless I'm rich sometime after I graduate from college (if I do! hehe).

You know it all comes from the same tank!

I guess I should be more clear. Of course, I don't really know that Shell's V-Power is no different from their other octanes. Maybe they add some "special" detergents in there, I don't know.

I doubt it's going to do anything that you can't achieve by using any other fuel with added cleaning agents, which is basically all of them.

So, yeah.. just use regular if your engine was designed to use regular. ;)

Use whatever your manual recommends.

Some of us DO need it...like when you put on new aluminum heads that raise the compression... :p

;)

And for the record, I've always used Mobil myself.
