Uxtheme.dll patch not working ...

so i got a new dell 9300 and im trying to get a uxtheme working
after i replaced the .dll and restarted the computer when i go into my properties i dont see any of the themes in the desktop appearance properties ??

do i need to setup some special folder to drop them in ?

mine are in /windows/resources/themes right now

isn't there a program that does this? from what i remember you have to boot to dos to replace the file in both locations.. primary and backup
