I'm in the market for either a natively UXGA LCD or a second EN-980 (Envision 19" CRT). I'll be using the new display for the next 2.5 years, and intend to either purchase a second identical LCD or just use my two CRTs in a dually setup. Anyway, I game on a very occasional basis; but when I do, I play first person shooters. (Thus my dilemma)
Cost is a considerable factor; but I need 1600x1200 or higher as a native resolution. I found the following LCD's tempting:
Planar 19" UXGA - $800
Dell 20" UXGA - $1100
I've heard only good things about the Dell, but the thought of its price makes me shudder. The Planar is very tempting, but I can't find a single review for it and am wondering how it's priced so competitively. So without further adieu, recommendations anyone? (If anyone finds a good deal on the EN-980, LMK! =)
