Can a UW2 HD work on a controller that only suports UW? I'm looking for a new HD to be my boot drive, and the controller I have (Mylex BT-948 UW) only has a 68pin UW (and 50pin) connection.
One other question, I have a burner that runs on the 50pin connector, can I use a HD on the 68pin connector at the same time?
And on top of all that 🙂 any suggestions for a good boot drive? It needs to be bigger than 9.1 gig (probably best to be around 18gig) and run (at least) 7200rpm.
BTW: This will be replacing a Western Digital Expert 18Gig 7200Rpm ATA66. Just so you all know I was wanting something faster than this drive 🙂 !
Thanks alot for anyone that can help out this SCSI newbee!
