Uvula?

Is anyone else able to bite their's? I can. My ear nose and throat doctor said the other day that I have one of the longest uvulas he's ever seen. Anyway, I was really bored and I was puffing my uvula onto the back of my tongue and I accidentally bit down on it with my wisdom teeth. There's a little bit of bleeding in the back of my mouth now but other than that I can't even notice it. Yeah, this is a weird post. 😀

Woah, you must have a huge uvula if you can talk about puffing it onto the back of your tongue like it's some everyday thing.

I can't even maneuver mine, much less bite it.

Yeah, I nearly swallow it every time I do swalllow... It's pretty weird. I don't have a gag reflex either... Ah well. Oh crap! I just realized what I just typed could be taken in a very bad way... I'm not like that!

I had choronic sleep apnea. Took the tonsils, adenoids, surrounding tissue including part of the soft palate (with the uvula). Burned out the turbinates in my nose, fixed a deviated septum, a few other things too.

That word always makes me giggle, try saying it out loud... hehehe now try saying it three times fast 🙂🙂🙂

My friend had that done for the same reason.... it was the longest real word I ever learned..
uvulopalatopharyngoplasty.

According to the doctor, he was going to be able to chug faster than anyone else, because he wouldn't have a gag reflex anymore... Funnier than sh!t when he chugged from a bottle of sambuca and it came out his nose.... apparently that's not comfortable to have happen (understatement).
