Uverse 2-Wire Gateway wont connect visiting wireless connections

Got a problem I can't figure out. Not new to networking but this has me stumped. I have Uverse and use the 3800 gateway. I have about 2 dozen things hanging off various switches and such -all with assigned addresses. I had some issues a few months ago and changed the the base address to the 10 range from 192. Everything connects fine but when I have people over none of their wireless items will connect. My android phone and laptops all connect fine so it's not a wireless issue.

I normally have my SSID hidden and the network locked down, but last time people were over I broadcast my SSID and unencrypted the connection and the various items still would not connect. I have plenty of IP addresses available also. Is it a possible issue with the subnet mask? Had a few people over one had a new laptop and it would not connect, had to hardwire it, and the other had an Asus Transformer Prime -- both saw the connection and showed great signal strength, but neither would connect to the internet wirelessly.

Any suggestions?

Duh... Yes....

I guess that is the issue. I will turn it off and see if things return to normal. Thanks!
