UV Sensitive Galileo Thermometer: Suggestions?

Got a UV sensitive galileo thermometer for xmas..

IT's one of those glass tubes filled with water and floating glass globules. Lowest floating glass bulb tells the temperature or something.

One of those "you SHOULDNT have, really" gifts.

But my first thought was: wow wonder if I could get this in a case for telling the internal temps.

Here's a pict of what it looks like:

Any ideas?

That'd be sweet. Get a small UV cold cathode and make a shelf over it, with a black piece of paper on the shelf. Cut a hole in the paper so that only the thermometer gets UV doses and from the bottom. Granted, it will look like a big glowing phalic thing in your computer, but it will otherwise look neat.
