UV photography...

I'm trying to find information on cameras that do UV photography. I've found some good resources, but most tend to use off the shelf digital SLR's. THose are much too 'comsumerized' for what I need. A simple CCD that sees UV light and can be controled by a computer will do the trick. I know these are big in astronomy, but so far google has only turned up outdated or poorly organized websites that don't offer much help.

Any info on suppliers or places to get info on such CCD's is very appreciated.

I have poked around there a bit. Most of those people seem to be strictly traditional camera users. I am looking for more of a CCD with PC connectivity rather than a consumer ready portable camera.

I posted here because back in the day I got into a photo debate on digital vs film and a few people seemed to really know about astronomical photography which relies heavily on UV photography.

Hmm... are you sure? Some of the people in the forums have discussed about IR photography, and I remember reading a few topics involving astronomy too, perhaps you try posting a question in the Open Talk forum and see if you get any replies?

Also another photography site with discussion that you may want to check out is www.dpchallenge.com.
