UV filter for wide angle?

Well I recently went on a trip, and at the last second I decided to take a polarizing filter just to slap on the front of my lens. I'm VERY glad I did, because my glass would have been destroyed by the harsh environment.

Now I'm looking for a UV filter for my wide angle 16-45, but I do not want (or if i can minimize it...) vignetting at the wide angle.

Does anyone have experience with http://www.amazon.com/B-W-Viol...&qid=1228490961&sr=8-3 ?
Will it vignette?

Is there another filter (either the same price or cheaper...I'm not too keen on going more expensive) that works?

Thanks in advance

then 16 isn't ridiculously wide angle and so you don't need to worry about vignetting as much as you would with a 10-20 sigma. if you're really concerned, hoya makes filters with low profile frames. you can't screw anything into the front of them, however.
