I've been trying to get the uv setup in my case right for years....my family thinks im stubern as fu...... After trying different brands, of cables, lights, and having no luck i decided to ask you guys!

My issue is that its not bright. At all. During the day (if this is possible let me know) everything fades away and all of my uv stuff looks normal. also my case is no wheres near any bight light source. Just normal room light. During the night my case looks so weak. I mean all of the colors barely shin through. This is in pitch black.

I have tried colored cathode uv lights. They light of the case/cables, but its not a uv color. Its what ever color the light is. So i switched to no colored lights. black lights is the best way to describe them. They work much better in terms of the 'uv look'. but I am not satisfied with the brightness and the disappearing during the day. I really like the neon look.

I order 99% of my stuff from newegg and here is what i currently am using-

light- x4 (arranged in a square configuration, with just 1/2 you get nothing. also the picture makes it look blue, its not. Just a normal blacklight.)

cables-x12 (4 different colors, yellow, blue, green, red)

cabling - (put this stuff anywheres it would go, also 4 different colors)

Thanks as always.

and so the UV should fade away during the day...

The darker the oom, the better the looks but during day time when sunlight or light bulbs dominate, you can't get some thin layered cables to glow UV the whole day. Wear a sunglass or something, that will help :D

You need to look for alternatives, how about multi sequence, multi color LED animation all over your cables?

personally when it comes to lights and modding i prefer

xoxide.com you should check them out, they got some fairly neat stuff. Not to mention i like xoxides cold cats, because they just seem brighter IMO.

The UV lamps you have might be obstructed so you should see if your uv sensitive eq is getting any UV light at all.

And UV's arent very bright during the day. There not ment to, the white light overpowers the UV light hence nothing will react.

the uv lights and cables are free and clear of most obstructions.

so my issue is sometthing that is very common? So then to get brighter results i should swtich to LED cables? Can you recommend a brand?

You need to use UV black lights and UV reactive sleeving.

Cold Cathodes just do not work that well in my humble opinion.

FlexTech sleeving is way better than the Vantec...Much easier to work with and is much brighter under a UV black light.

Most UV reactive cables I have used and I have tried everything I could get my hands on just are not that bright.

Get you a dual 12" UV Black light and some different sleeving and you stuff will look awesome.

honestly speaking, having lights in moderation makes the case look cool. I even have 2 UV Cats in my case, my board, cables, even coolant is all UV reactive and it lights up fairly nice in my black ARMOR case.

The cats were bought at xoxide, and the cables and sleeves all came from DFI. Try xoxide's kits before you get light hungry and that light mod because a desk lamp. And the good thing about xoxide is on there UV equiptment/Lamps, they show you a glowing version and regular version so you can see how it will look in your computer.

better/worst then cathode?

Well the differences between CCL, and LED's are that u would have to point the LED's in the direction you want the light to be shined upon.

Also dont underestimate xoxide's CCL's. That store is purely a mod store, and there equiptment is second to none. I once compared there CCL's to that of compusa's PC TOY's version and there was absolutely no competition. XOXIDE's CCL's raped the PC TOY's in brightness.

But to answer your question, the LED's will provide a brighter light as long as you direct them to the area you want the light.
