Uuuuugh - I think I just popped something in my arm, and it's not very good.

I woke up today with this little knot under the skin of my forearm - it felt like a knot from hitting something.

My sister is over at my house, and I was showing it to her - when I squeezed it, I could feel something pop, and some kind of thick liquid (probably puss) escape into my arm. It had to be the most gross feeling I've ever had, due to the sheer volume of puss that felt like it came out.

So I'm guessing this isn't a good thing - puss and bacteria now freely flowing in the space between my skin and my arm.

Well thanks for sharing all of those details.... :disgust:

I would think you should get that checked out.

Hello,

This is Tweakmm M.D. with my professional medical opinion.

You have the cancer.
(Can I have your xB, oh wait, I'd pay not to have that box in my possession)

Not puss. It was probably a lipoma (fat deposit) that escaped into your arm. Wont do any harm except maybe fill up again.

I know. I tried calling my Primary Care Manager at the base hospital, but they've already closed :( Hopefully my arm won't develop a staff infection, or some other magical surprise until tomorrow :(

:confused:Building a wisdom bonus into a staff would cost +50% due to being a nonstandard item location. Wisdom and intelligence modifying items are normally worn upon the head. Building a wisdom bonus into a staff is an inefficient use of fiscal resources. But then, you're probably still using first edition rules, which are quite different from 3.5.

Of course no matter what enchantments you place on your staff, you don't want it infected.

OP: since your skin has ruptured, be sure to squeeze out as much pus as you can and then wash the wound and apply antibiotic ointment. Then see a doctor at your convenience if you have insurance.

staves would most certainly add to intelligence or charisma in the case of a wizard or sorcerer, respectively (at least in 3.X edition:D)

staff infection

You won't get a staph infection from squeezing your arm. You can if you were working in a hospital, got a cut, & didn't clean it out (or any other dirty-ass scenario).
