uTorrent question

Attempting to download a BT & I get the message: Error: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
I have my KAV running in the background, but no firewall, anti-spyware or anything like that.
Anyone ever run into this before?
Thanks in advance.

A process has lock permission on the file which is preventing uTorrent from writing to it, could be anything as simple as having the file selected in explorer or a partially downloaded file opened by another application (media player/notepad etc etc). If you're savvy, you can download process explorer and find which process has the lock on the file you need, or you can just pause uTorrent, fully exit it and close down some other programs and re-launch uTorrent.

No, but you'd better run a firewall!
I guess I should've been more clear. My DSL modem/router has a built-in firewall...i'm just not running a software firewall.
After stopping the torrent, exiting the program & restarting my pc, the message hasn't popped up again.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
