Utorrent is doing something weird

Whenever i open up utorrent and try to dl something, my internet connection just shuts off, it's really weird.

ive got no idea why it's doing this. i set it up according to the speed guide.

also, im NOT using a router, but my ports are blocked. how the hell can i forward a port if i have no router?

ahh

Perhaps your ISP has that port blocked for Torrent traffic, or perhaps you got anti virus suite that comes with a firewall that you gotta forward it through, dont forget the default windows firewall too...

my upload is slow, im using a high #port, and windows firewall is running but its not blocking utorrent. Antivirus doesn't block it. Its just weird...like it seems like its sapping the internet, but its not because it has an insanely slow DL speed. Also, my roommates DL which runs off a switch works fine while mine doesn't lol.

thanks for the ideas guys

Could be a problem at a lower level. Windows sometimes messes up its sockets in my experience. Reduce the number of total connections to a very low number and see if it still breaks your internets.
