Im formatting my PC soon and I have a few downloads going that will take me a week or so to get. I was wondering if it was possible for me to continue those downloads by somehow copying the incomplete files and continue to download them on the newly formatted pc.

Possible? How? Thanks

I think I've done that before by just copying the utorrent directory over to another computer.

yes, I did this when I formatted my HD to upgrade from XP to Vista. If you look in the uTorrent options, there is a directory for autoload torrents. uTorrent will automatically start downloading any torrent files that you have in that folder. So you put the .torrent file in that directory, and the unfishished data file in the unfinished downloads folder, and it will automatically resume where you left off.

yes. just copy the torrent (in case you cant find it again on the internet), the file, and you're set.

Yeah, you don't need to copy over the torrent file. Just take the unfinished download file with you, put it on the new PC somewhere, download the torrent file again, and when it prompts to save it somewhere, just tell it to save where you put the unfinished download file, and it will scan it to see what parts where completed and what weren't, and resume from there.
