Utility to testing RAM?

What utilities (for XP) exist for checking for problems with RAM? And, one that checks disk controller for flaws.

I'm getting occasional crashes in XP (using ASUS p4t-e with 512 rambus; audigy, geforce 2) that seem possibly related to RAM or disk controller problems. For instance, Kernal_data_inpage_error.

I've reseated RAM a could of times (along with everything else).

Thanks.

theres a utility called memtest86 that will check all of your ram for you. It runs off a bootable floppy and as far as I can remember it will check just about everything for you.

As for disk controller testing im not so sure. you could try your mobo manufacturers website and see if theres any diagnostic utilities up there...

heres the link for memtest anyway: memtest86

Hi, Here is another disk you can download and boot from to test your memory:
it's called DocMemory
