Wanting to shrink my Win2K NTFS partition, I attempted to install my copy of Partition Magic 4.0....only to find that it won't install in 2K. Is there any free utility that will shrink an NTFS partition? I don't really want to buy Partition Magic 5.0....

I used Partition Magic 4x, Just copy these PQmagic files to a flopy:
PQMAGIC.EXE, PQMAGIC.OVL, & PQMAGIC.PQG. Then boot from a floppy and place the floppy with the pqmagic files in you floppy drive and run PQMAGIC from there.

I agree. Partition Magic 5 won't work under Win2K anyway. What it does is reboot and do the changes from "DOS". (Just upgraded to 5.01 from 3).

I have successfully done that with Partition Magic 5 so it *should* work for you too :)
