utility that outputs AVI frames to jpg and/or bmp?

I've got a short AVI clip that I want to output to individual images, per frame... Is there any freeware utility out there that anyone knows of that will output every frame of an AVI to a separate JPG or BMP image? Any ideas..?

Funny how almost every question about (freeware) video editing I can answer with one program.

VirtualDub.

File - Save As Image Stream - Select output (PNG or BMP) - OK

And watch your HD activity light go up like a Christmas tree.

Actually, I feel kinda foolish for not having thought of that myself. Never used it for outputting frames before, but I shoulda known. Thanks for the help.

VirtualDub does a lot more than people give it credit for. If you do any work with OGG/OGM formats, do yourself a favour and pick up VDubMod to run alongside it.
