Utility Knife - 1, My Finger - 0

I just cut a good slice off the end of my finger. That white part is nearly falling off, and is totally colourless now, though feeling is coming back to it, I suppose that is a good sign.

I'll hit the clinic in the morning I suppose, man, I lose.

Edit - this is after a good cleaning, it bled like hell.

LOL, I got owned by a knife cutting some lettuce about a year ago, that knife was SHARP! I didn't even feel it cut through my thumbnail. Good luck on the recovery.

Although if you have insurance, this will be a good idea since it allows them to record the incident. When your finger gets infected and needs to be cut off, they will have to pay for the cost.

If you don't, you might be responsible for the operation.


P.S. I can do it for $50. $20 more and I'll get you drunk before I cut off the finger.

This was the knife - I love it, but damn does it cause some damage when you slip the ruler.

I'm concerned because that white part of flesh has no feeling, and is nearly completely off. It's the size of a dime more or less, so I'm not sure if stitches are in order.

It isn't bleeding at all however, it doesn't even hurt at all. We'll see how it is in the morning.

you just cut skin off so don't worry about it, sooner or later your skin will grow back thicker than before with a slight scar maybe but you'll be ok

Just bite the rest of the skin off put some anti-bacterial cream on it and a bandage. It'll be good as new by Monday.
