I bought a drive recently but I'm unsure of some of it's exact specs. Is there a utility that will give the drive's SATA version, cache, etc. I tried cpu-z but it didn't list the drive specs. BTW it's a Western Digital SATA drive.

Just read the model number off the drive and look it up on WD's website.

Anything that reads SMART data should be able to tell you what the drive is (or at least what the drive says it is). I'm not sure that this necessarily reports things like cache size, though.
