Does anyone know of any Dual Core utilities that deal with the Pentium EE840 Processor? There have been a number of software that have issues with dual cores and it seems one of them is NWN when installed with the expansion Hordes of the Underdark. The game refuses to start crashing with a 'NWN encountered a problem and was forced to cause' error - checking affinity on the process shows the presence of both a virtual and main CPU but disabling them this way does not work.
The only option outside a future Bioware patch would be to be able to tweak settings on the CPU and the way it handles software since it is this new tech combined with software that does not know how to respond to it that is resulting in these problems. It would be nice to get the dual cores behaving in a normal way for those sorts of software...
