Utah Jazz Deal!

Deshawn Stevenson to Orlando for Gordan Giricek

Keon Clark & Ben Handlogten to Phoenix for Tom Gugliotta + 2 future first round DPs.

I'll miss Handlogten. He was kicking some butt before he was injured.

Hahahahahah!!! the Jazz have Tom Gugliotta. What a worthless POS that guy was once he left the T-wolves. I met him in a bar once here in Phoenix...he's pretty much a tool.

They are doing alot better this year than anyone gave them credit for at the beginning of the season. Good luck with Googs

I like Giricek. He should fit in well with the Jazz. I'm not too sure why anyone would want Gugliotta. When is the last time he posted decent numbers? But the draft picks will definitely come in handy.

i'm assuming this is also a way to get rid of salary. did Clark have a big contract and is Gugliotta's contract expiring at the end of the season?

The Jazz are certainly NOT trying to lose salary. The way it sits, they have 20+Mill to even make the league minimum for next year. 🙂

When Giricek is on, he is deadly from mid-to-long range. I think the Jazz want an outside threat at the 2 similar to Jeff Hornacek. No, Giricek won't take the place of Hornacek.

Gugliota? Well, I dunno. He seemed like a decent player a few years ago until that reaction to the prescription. Maybe his skills depend more on the system he's in. I know since Matt Harpring has been out, the Jazz have been in desperate need of scoring from the 3.

Another unnoticed detail about this trade: "two future first-round picks" to the Jazz.

Keon and Ben for Gugliotta isn't too bad a move. Gugliotta gives them cap relief after the season is over and Keon has been worthless so far this season. Ben is a big guy and he will be missed (since Ostertag is useless).

DANVILLE, Ill. (AP) -- Utah Jazz forward Keon Clark's father was sentenced to 65 years in prison for killing a friend after a fight over a bicycle.

John Clark, 49, will serve that sentence with no possibility of parole, Assistant State's Attorney Larry Mills said Wednesday.

The elder Clark was convicted by a jury in December of first-degree murder in the death of 27-year-old Clarence Cunningham III. Clark's attorney argued during the trial that his client acted in self-defense

looks like they are just trading farts for boogers.

Haha...I agree.

I can't believe the Jazz still has Ostertag, what a tool! He's the only one still on the team from their finals year correct?

Yes.

Tag isn't that bad of a big man. I don't know of anyone that would be better that has been available.
