I know there aren't a ton of people playing from here, but for those of us who do, i thought it'd be kewl to know where & what gametypes you do play 🙂

Please post your name you play under, & we can add each other to our buddylists.

I don't have the ability to host a server or anything, but even getting a few people together to play on one of the ONS servers would be fun.

My name is n7{DGS}, but it does change sometimes, so just add *{DGS} to your buddylist & look for n7 or EnSe7en or « n7 » 🙂

 
I play quite a bit of Onslaught, some InstaGib CTF and recently the latest release of CarBall.

My name is usually either xcript or Mr.Flibble.

At the moment, though, I'm mainly playing the BF2 demo. 😉

Id try it...just as long as its not Instagib....IG NEVER works online...you need low latency to make it fun
 
I mainly play team DM, Instagib CTF, some regular CTF, some Onslaught. I play as mrvile. Can't play now though, gaming comp is down atm. I CAN'T wait till 2k6!!!

normally, I play as UT4EVER, but with all the cheats now, I play as UT4EVER.NO_CHEATS to let people know that I'm all pure ")

Yeah I've seen 2 botters in the past week and I haven't been playing a lot. Seems like OGC for UT2k4. It's pretty bad too...guys dont miss with shock rifle, or twin beams on the hellbender. It makes life hell trying to get into the Torlan base and they're guarding it with the hellbender. Guys aren't even trying to cover it up either.

yup, the shock if fine, I'm pretty good with shock myself, but hellbender?! now if I'm in a raptor or circ, then it's fine, it's easy to his me...but if I'm in a manta and I get picked off everytime, one shot by a hellbender...I start to question...
 
Yeah the shock rifle reminds me of the rail gun from quake-series games, except without a zoom. It would own with a zoom on it. 😀 Only then people would camp like crazy.
 
There are very few botters in reg weapons, especially in ONS servers.
In fact, i don't ever recall seeing a botter in ONS ever.

DM & CTF is another story, especially with instagib & zark, etc., but it's still quite rare.

One thing people forget is just how skilled some UT2k4 players are.
If you ever want to see skill at it's finest, look for the 1v1 servers in DM.
In there you're likely to find guys who never miss, & who can pwn anyone, only using the shock or lightning gun.

Those guys picking you off with Hellbender twin beams or shock primarys could very well be me getting lucky 😉, or for the really skilled guys, they easily do that.
