UT2K4: how to play DM on ONS-TORLAN map?

I played an internet game recently where we were playing ONS-TORLAN, only it was DM. It was great because the server admin turned on the zoom instagib mutator so we ran around trying to snipe people from across the map. Since that map is so freakin big, you can have 7 people on it and have space to hide in the foliage.

Only question is how the heck did he do it? I'm trying to play an "instant action" game with the computer and turn that on, but it won't let me choose torlan in dm mode. Any ideas?

Did you trying changing the map name to DM-TORLAN? That worked in the original UT with other game types.

edit: I mean literally browsing through the game files and renaming the torlan file.

You'll need to open up the map in unrealed, and copy the game type properities from the level properities from an DM map. Then you'll also need to rename the map to DM-Torlan.

You will also need to do another fix to add the vehicals to the map, otherwise they won't wokr in DM. Let me go find the link.

wow, that was a lot more complicated than i thought it'd be. But i LOVE the onslaught levels for DM because they're great for playing with instagib. Thanks for the link.

Somebody made a small version of blood gluch for CTF, and I turned it into DM for small 2-4 player vehical DM games.
