I'll be there for tomorrow night, but not tonight.

You can put me on the roster as wombat.

Can you let us know which maps we'll be playing tomorrow night?

Team Tips:

- when you start out with the link gun... usually your ammo is plenty more than when replenishing at another station. (It maxes at about 70 link charges on a subsequent pickup). BUT if you "drop weapon" just before the link gun is out (say about at 5), hit the locker for weapons, it will give you the full amount of link charges. (IE. 140 instead of just 70).

- if you're first at the first node, power it up to about half way and your next node should be ready to go. Mantas and raptors should take this duty, and the cavalry should come by to finish it up just in case. Depends on the size of the map.

- it is a clan tactic to have someone in a manta attack the opponents at their first building node ASAP. This way, it will delay their building of that node since they're worried about shooting at you... and so your teammates can take most of your nodes quicker at the same time. Raptors may be best for this since it takes a while for enemies to hit you (and twice at that) if you're way up in the sky shooting primaries down at them. Depends on the size of the map.

- when firing AVRiLs, you may choose to aim at nothing in particular until it's almost at its destination, then lock in at your target. The reason is the target will not get their missile warning until you lock on - and by then, it's usually too late for them to duck out. I like to fire AVRiLs out randomly if I'm not doing anything other than running to my next destination. You never know who will come along and "run into" it if you're quick on the locks.

- flak primary will take out the nodes fastest if you fire at the base full load/up close. Link gun primary will also work fast to kill a node, but you'll want to save those link charges for building afterward.

- most of you may already know this but don't practice it... to get to a destination faster on foot, you'll want to dodge-jump. The caveat is you'll want to head straight while doing it and dodging forward is not the easiest thing to do since you have to let go of forward motion briefly each time. What I do is do a sideways dodge instead, but I mouseview toward the opposite side while doing it, then return to look forward... repeat pattern. So basically, keep forward key depressed... mouseview quickly (left/diagonal-left) while dodging sideways (right) and hit the jump key mid-dodge. This is the fastest way to progress forward. You can move as fast as a tank can move at this rate, and even catch them.

- the best team-friendly thing to do is have a 1st-guy stand on a manta wing and a 2nd guy jump in and then head to the first node. 2 people building a node is obviously faster. Repeat pattern at next node. Too often the first guy will just take off with the manta leaving others behind... which is fine if you assume nobody else is privy to this tactic and don't head to the manta if they already see you beat them there. Be nice... let the 2nd guy fly the manta... you're along for the ride. Hell, do this with 2 guys on the wings and the 3rd guy flying. Others watch for people who wait at Mantas... they're waiting for a driver.

I was there; password doesn't work. :(

UPDATE 7/11/04 - I'm sorry to post that the other clan "Unisol" had an implosion and the result was no communication with me until the very end only to tell me. So instead we are going to play a casual game. I do apologize for this. I was kept out in the cold until the very end and have been trying to get in touch with them for days.
So, I guess we have a clan win by default eh? :p
