I was in EB yesterday and saw a sign that said,Pre-order Unreal Tournament 2003, final price $29.95 + $10 rebate. I put $5 down to reserve my copy, they said they expect it on Oct. 2nd. I don't know if it's $29.95 with the rebate or $29.95 plus the rebate, either way it's a good price.

Anyone know if the final price is $29 or $19? I'm guessing it will be $29, which is still a good price, but $19 would be awesome!!!

just called my EB... they didn't know anything about a $10 rebate and said the pre-order price is $39.95. but they are retarded so i wouldn't be surprised if they are wrong. will try another store or two in the area and see what they say...

I am guessing that its 39.95 plus a $10 rebate...

Doubt the would be selling it for 19.95 out the door....

Although, this could be a launching point for some nice price matches with rebates :D

The price is $40 before the rebate.

It's not a rebate either. It's actually a $10 Gift Card you get by mail. I did this deal at the end of last week. First you pre-order, and then you send in your receipt with a coupon you get out of their catalog they have by the registers.

Rockin dude! Good eye. =] Let's wait until 10-15 for the price to drop.

<edit> Err maybe a little before 10-15. </edit>

I wonder what the BB B&M price will be.

When GTA3 came out they had a great price of $34.99 (or was it $39.99?)

OS: Windows 2000 5.0 (Build: 2195)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1799 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: RADEON 8500/RADEON 8500LE (6166)

History: UWindowsViewport::eek:penWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

running a radeon 8500le, 1600+ on 8k3a

i would so buy this game if i fixed this error...wouldn't want to buy it and realize it doesn't work on my system

the best fix for your problem is to buy an nVidia card. ;)

I read that the cat 2.3 drivers clear up some issues with ut2003. Works fine on my WinXP/Radeon 32Mb SDR PCI card when running the cat2.3 drivers.

Original UT rocked, but somehow UT2k3 feels more like Quake 3... I mean the graphics are awesome, but gameplay is just way too fast.

i always felt UT was just as fast as Q3, and this new UT2003 is definitely as fast and perhaps faster. i like it. the new CTF is interesting, as is Bombing Run. thats one thing i liked about UT -- original ideas in the gameplay. rather than just DM or CTF, they throw a couple new ideas into the mix.

This is your lucky day :D

I have a similar system (different Mobo, Service Pack 3).

You need to d/l DirectX 8.1B, and the latest Radeon drivers (www.rage3d.com).

I had the exact same feeling about the new UT.
Is so fats that especially in DM is just a guessing game cause there is no way to aim while 3 or 4 guys are jumping like Yoda around you.

the original UT was much slower than the UT 2003 demo
i dont know how you guys can possibly compare q3's speed to UT's
UT 2003 demo seems faster than q3's gameplay though

does the demo let you play multi player over lan? that would be pretty cool. wouldn't even need to spend $30 :)
