UT2003 problem

Hi guys,
I just installed UT2003 and applied the 2166 patch. I have a Radeon 9700 Pro with the new Catalyst 3.0 drivers and DX9.

Right after installing the game and applying the patch, I try to play it, but I got a "d3d8.dll missing blah blah blah" error message. So, I downloaded d3d8.dll and placed it in my UT2003\system directory. I tried again and now its giving me the following error message:

UT2003.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point DdEntry12 could not be located in the dynamic link library DDRAW.dll

What's up with that? This is a fresh install of the game.

Hi,
d3d8.dll is not directly related to ut2003. Its a directX system file, and if a remember correctly, it also causes probs with GTA3.
Is the DX9 version that youre using the new offical one or one of the betas? Cos if its a beta then thats probably the problem.
Same with the Radeon drivers, it they are betas then un-install them and put the official latest ones on.

Well, it turned out that the dxd8.dll file somehow got removed. I reinstalled DX9 and now it works flawlessly.
