I currently have a GeForce 3 Ti 200 64MB video card along with an Athlon XP 2000 and 512MB DDR RAM. Needless to say I cannot even come close to running UT2003 with high resolution with all settings at maximum. I am interested in buying a Radeon 9700 Pro and would like to know if this would suffice in running UT2003 in, as you guys call it, Holy Sh*t mode? Thanks for any input you could provide.

ut2003 is very playable at 1280x1024/32b with all options on, even with 4xAA and 16xFA it is playable at that resolution. I'm running an xp2000 with 768mb pc2100, kt333 chipset

I run Unreal 2003 at 1600x1200 with all details on the highest settings on my Leadtek GF4 ti 4400 overclocked to GF4 ti 4600 speeds with my Athlon XP 1800+. I use a older KT133A chipset with 256 mb pc 133 of sdram though but its still fine. Even the map Inferno is smooth.

alkemyst that would be cool. Imagine being able to have a computer screen as big as a IMAX screen! That would be really cool for gaming just so expersive!

Jremmen - I just upraded my G2 Pro@245/475 to an Albatron ti4200 (didn't OC yet) and it' runs UT@1280 so smooth...say good night to my G2 and hello G4.

I'm getting the full version tomorrow at Best Buy. I will open the package in the store to see if the CD Key is inside (thanks to someone posting this in the software forums). I know the full version has more options to crank the detail levels up so we'll see. I might have to OC to the this smooth in the retail version @1280 mx dtls.

I would recommend upgrading. I wasn't sure if I would notice a difference, but I DID! It's even worth upgrading to watch the Nature test in 3DMARKS2001SE!
