to run benchmarks....
run UT2003Demo\system\Benchmark.exe and choose your resolution.
it will run a bunch of demos and give results at the end.

Hmm aint those fps really loow ?

I mean if you look here

You should be getting around 160 - 178fps in UT2003 @ 1024@768 with everything on HIGH on a GeForce4Ti4600...

Have they just beefed the game up heaps to make it go down 100fps ? or is the benchies on that site above inaccurate?

Thanx

NB. There's no point saying, "Everything max quality" as the benchmark over-rides any user settings and runs at max quality anyway. BTW, the demo doesn't ship with the hi-res textures, so you aren't able yet to run it on maximum quality anyway. The hi-res textures are approximately twice the size of the normal ones in the demo.

Oh, and if anyone wants any tips on UT 2003 check out the website I run : http://ut2003.planetclans.com/ I've wrote some tips and stuff there for you all (like how to get the redeemer etc. ) :)

BTW, this is the 1st time that it worked. Right before that my computer rebooted. Everytime before that I got some error. Anyone else have this problem.

System:
1.6A @ 2.4 GHz
EPOX 4BDA2+ (i845D)
512mb @ DDR400
Ti4600 @ 315/715

I noticed the advanced settings menu works the same as UT does. Pull down the console with the ~ key and type preferences. You will have many more options to play with including setting detail levels higher than the "normal" that is available through the standard menu. I have to play with them to see if they actually do anything.

that sucks for overclocking from 1.6 to over 2.0 GHz.

What graphics card you got? The new Unreal engine is more GPU dependant than CPU.

Not bad for an older video card. It plays just fine online so I will wait for prices to come down on the 4600 or a 9700 pro.
