How many other people have been having problems with a Radeon 8500 and UT2003???

I had a Radeon 7200 and went to a 8500.
I have tried other games and they seem to work ok, but just about everytime I play UT2003 it will freeze up. When I reboot Win XP says the problem is the Radeon Drivers. So I updated them to the newwest ones and still the same problem.
I know it is a Demo but just wanted to see.

And to all the nah sayers, I am not overclocking my CPU's, Video card, Ram or any thing else.
I am running Win XP Pro with Dual Athlon 1600+'s, and 768MGs of Reg. ECC Ram.

And seeing as I didn't have a problem UNTIL I put in my 8500 I know that is the cause. BUT I don't think it is the card as much as it is the game. Heck the first thing you see when you trun the game on is a Nivida logo
So do you think they may have done this on purpose to support Nivida, or is it just a fluke ?

Don't get me wrong, I like Nivida, but has it come to that video card makers are paying off game makers to make a game work better with THEIR Video card??? Or again is this just a fluke??

Any other games that people have noticed this??

i have to concur with these guys. mine works. how is your psu?

if im not mistaken, the 8500 eats up a tad more power than then 7200. it is nothing like going from a 7200 to a 9700 though....but hey...worht a try.

Demo runs great on my Rad 8500LE 128MB @300/280. Full version I'll be getting soon, and assume it will run well also. Why is it that people who have not-overclocked systems have problems, while o/cers get it to run fine? (by the way, this is a rhetorical question ;)).

Hey bud, I recently posted a post similar to this. Mine was a bit more bizzare.

I got my Radeon 8500 to work fine on my KT266a based motherboard. Yet it would not play for longer than 5 seconds on my AMD 761 board that I recently sold. Go figure. Both were using the newest drivers also, along with the demo patch. Still trying to figure that one out. Went through all the bios options, etc. Oh....and on the AMD 761 Board, it could do 3dmark and Max Payne just fine.....just UT2003 a problem.
