UT server online and ready to go !!!

Because I just passed 1,800,000 blocks in the RC5-64 contest, and Christmas is just around the corner, I decided to give you guys/gals a well deserved Christmas present a little early this year! I've put my UT server back up for all of Team AnandTech to enjoy!

First things first. You'll need to visit the web page served out of the same box and download any bonus packs, patches, mutators, voice packs and custom maps that you don't have already. You can find the web page here: DataPimps Slaughterhouse

Once you've loaded up on all the goodies, then visit the UT server at: 63.170.62.234 I have not advertised it to the UT Master Server, so it's just us. There is no game password for now, but if we need to impliment one it will be tat.

I'll try to change the game type, map list and mutators loaded each day. If we can get a friendly team game set up with the DPC or SysOpt I'd be more than happy to configure the box for it.

Coooool, more UT! Just a quick thing- in the downloads section the links don't seem to work because there's a space in the URL. If you edit the HTML the links that say "blah/UT Stuff/blah.zip" should be changed to "blah/UT%20Stuff/blah.zip"

Ray, i dont know whats up with you, but I HATE instagib!

man i cant stand it, I mean, to me, part of the game is switching between all the weapons for each situation, and having to do the best with the weapon youhave if stuck with it.

I said occasionally, you know, like once in awhile? Sheesh, I din't ask for it to always be on, and I would hope the games could be switched around some to accomodate all! Not everyone likes CTF, or DM, etc.... :Q

I like instagib because it gives us old slow guys a chance, 'cause I'm too slow to even think about switching weapons, plus it requires more accuracy than letting weapon splash take care of an opponent, and isn't dependant on who has more health. It sort of levels the playing field.

The Boxing Day map load is Default maps with about 6 or 7 custom ones thrown in for good measure. Ray will also like to hear that the only mutator running right now is InstaGib. I made the bots as retarded as I could. Nothing sucks worse than losing to the bots.
