I have 2-128mb sticks ram, 8mb shared onboard vid (do I need a card for hosting games?). Anyone know off the top of their head what the minimum is to host a modern game? Thanks!!
I think, that being a host/server for a game is more CPU & memory intensive, as well as bandwidth.
If the video card meets the bare minimum then thats OK, cos you wont be doing any 3d work with it when hosting.
Same with CPU, you should be able to get away with it. Not quite sure though.
256mb of ram should be ok, personally i`d got for at least 512mb for a host/server.
