UT players

i just installed ut on winme, and when i run it it is all distorted from the very begining. i thought it was my cpu so i dropped my cpu back to regular stock speed/voltage. still to my dismay, it does not work. anyone have this problem yet? im running the geforce drivers off of nvidia.com. any help is appreciated.

I don't have that problem, but I do notice that some things in WinME don't work right... IE 5.5 is slow, games are slower than in 98SE/2000 and movies are slightly jerky as compared to perfect in Win98SE/2000.

You may want to try different drivers, try some of the newer beta drivers and see if they work for you. I don't remember where to get them, but you can try searching these forums or another search engine. I think the newest is something like 5.32?

Just to be sure.

A) Install the latest video drivers.
B) Install the latest UT patch.

I had the same problem in DirectX (although I don't use it) and doing both corrected the problem, but I don't know which.

Its still my opinion that Win95 outperforms Win98!
