I built my father a 1U server to help faciliate some of his less meaningful tasks with his ISP. His choice of the OS is RH Linux 8.x.
Anyway I have no clue as to how to set up a linux UT server. I want to be able to host at least 8 players locally being all communications go through a satelite because of a lack of fiber... ping times are horrible. (600-1200ms)
Getting this server up and running will allow for just a couple ms for people on his broadband service. But alas, he does not know how to do it off hand, nor will he take the time to learn.
That only leaves me. But I do not have the slightest clue how to do it being my experience with linux ends after the install. Google was fairly helpless in the situation.
